La mobilité à Bruxelles risque de faire fuir les entreprises - lesoir.be: "Pour 7 entreprises sur 10 (contre 2 sur 10 en 2008), les problèmes de mobilité rencontrés à Bruxelles pourraient, à terme, constituer une raison de quitter la Région....
...Les problèmes de mobilité ont aussi des conséquences sur les candidats travailleurs puisque 55 % des entreprises disent peiner à trouver du personnel pour cette raison.
L'enquête montre également que neuf personnes sur 10 qui travaillent en Région bruxelloise ont vu, en moyenne, leur temps de déplacement domicile-travail s'allonger de 21 % ces trois dernières années.

Tallinn targets free public transportation

TALLINN- The Tallinn city government announced that it has set an aim of offering free public transport to the city’s residents starting in 2013, LETA/National Broadcasting reports.

...Mayor Edgar Savisaar said that, thus, several aims would be fulfilled: car use, traffic jams and traffic accidents would decrease and free public transport would improve the ability of poorer people to use it too.

Tatarstan Republic, people fight #transit cut-back

KAZAN, Russia -- At least 1,000 people have rallied in the capital of the Russian republic of Tatarstan to protest against limits on their public-transport privileges, RFE/RL's Tatar-Bashkir Service reports.

The protesters are challenging a decree by the Tatar government to limit the number of free trips on public transportation for retired workers, war veterans, students, and handicapped people to 30 per month as of January 1.
