Austerity is presented to us an economic solution. Actually it is not an economic policy at all, it is just the billionaires scooping up social capital as a cheap asset to consolidate their power. People all over the world are not falling for the phony conflation of public and private debt. Instead of bailing out banks, we could make public transit fare-free and create beautiful car-free cities.
